As an outdoors lover, anything related to plus-size workout clothes and activewear gear excites me. I own more pairs of leggings and sports bras than I can count. But even with the hundreds of workout clothing options out there, it can still be a difficult process to search for size-inclusive workout clothing.

There are multiple factors that go into selecting the right item for my plus-size body type. When it comes to searching for sports bras, I need major support for my bust, especially because I’m a former athlete who enjoys playing club volleyball often. As for leggings, I prefer wearing thick layered material that won't tear at the inner thighs. I also like to keep an array of lightweight t-shirts with moisture-wicking material to keep me feeling cool and sweat-free during my pilates classes. Plus, we can't forget about the essential everyday activewear pieces that can be worn to casually run errands.

So, as you can see, activewear means a lot to me, and you can trust that I did my due diligence in finding brands that carry the best plus-size workout clothes.

Whether you’re hitting the gym or simply putting together a chic athleisure outfit, it's always a good idea to have an assortment of staple pieces to complete your wardrobe. I personally believe that you can never own too much activewear. Below, find a few of my all-time favorite brands and clothing pieces that I’ve worn and want to wear all the time.

If you see me out on any given weekend, there's a 95% chance I’m wearing something from Adidas. The brand has been a staple in my life since my early years of playing high school volleyball. My absolute go-to is their sports bras, thanks to the wide variety of size ranges. I also love the workout leggings (below), which are form-fitting and rarely slip down no matter what type of movement I’m doing.

UGG has always been known as a cult favorite shoe brand. But, the brand does make great apparel options, too. Their basics section has a slew of cute leggings, biker shorts, and bralette options that work perfectly for pilates.

GLAD is a go-to of mine for all the sweatiest adventures. After doing even the smallest amount of activity, I end up drenched in sweat. Fortunately, GLAD's sweat-wicking material is great for just that. I'm a huge fan of all the vivid colors, matching leggings, and sports bras.

When you think of Adore Me, you might solely recall lingerie and bras as their main seller, but their activewear section is also worthwhile. If you’re in the mood to stand out and enjoy a good excuse to rock some faux snake print, consider the set below.

We’re all on the NB craze and while we wait to snag a pair of the 550s (please), now's the right time to get some comfortable leggings, too. I’m a huge fan of brand logo moments and these gray leggings have all the right amount of stretch.

Lizzo, in my eyes, is my best friend and therefore Yitty is my best friend's stellar brand. And while Yitty is making space for inclusive and less constricting shapewear, they’ve ventured into activewear and it's a hit, just like every Lizzo song.

I honestly hadn't ever tested out Pink for its leggings and activewear until a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised. Although their selection only goes to an XL, most items have great stretch and I have no trouble wearing them even though I regularly wear a size 2XL or 3XL.
