Kate Beckinsale recently took to Instagram to celebrate International Cat Day and she just might have one of the best International Cat Day posts of all time. The Underworld actress started her post off with a video of her doing her lipstick while her cat looks on in some sort of Halloween costume. In the next video in the post, Beckinsale kicks back on a pool float again, with her cat.

Most people would be content with just those two videos to show their love for their cat, but Kate Beckinsale had much more to offer. The third clip is an adorable video of Beckinsale's cat trying to relax in a ramen cup-shaped bed before being awoken. Next Beckinsale's mom makes a cameo with an impromptu lip-sync (and drum solo) to The Outfield's "Your Love."

Kate Beckinsale finished off her post with some more great videos and pictures of her cat. The best video of all might be the one where she dons a dog mask much to the confusion of her kitty. To say this was a successful International Cat Day post from Beckinsale would definitely be underselling it.

It's a good thing Kate Beckinsale is providing us with this level of Instagram entertainment because we really haven't seen much of the star in 2022. She did end up starring in one film this year, Prisoner's Daughter, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Prisoner's Daughter was directed by Catherine Hardwicke and followed Brian Cox's Max, a father who tried to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Kate Beckinsale) and grandson (Christopher Convery).

The Marc Bacci-penned Prisoner's Daughter didn't manage to overly impress critics, as it currently has a 60% on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. However, it does seem to be a solid drama, and Brian Cox and Kate Beckinsale both get near-unanimous praise for their performances. There's nowhere you can watch the film as of yet, but be on the lookout for when it releases if you want to see Beckinsale's latest.

Unfortunately, the release dates for Kate Beckinsale's other upcoming projects are also up in the air, but presumably, we’ll learn when they’re coming out soon enough. The most anticipated project, and the one that is likely closest to being released, is the untitled film from Charlie Day. Charlie Day directs, writes, and stars in the film about a fool for love that becomes an accidental celebrity.

Along with Charlie Day, the film stars Kate Beckinsale, Jason Sudeikis, Edie Falco, John Malkovich, Jillian Bell, Ken Jeong, Adrien Brody, Travis Fimmel, and the late Ray Liotta. Beckinsale's other big project that is in the pre-production stages is Canary Black. Canary Black will star Beckinsale as Avery Graves, a spy who is blackmailed by terrorists to betray her own country in order to save her husband.

We’ll keep you updated as to when you can expect to see Kate Beckinsale in the Charlie Day film and Canary Black. Fortunately, fans can at least tune into Beckinsale's Instagram to get plenty of entertainment.
